During physiotherapy today at the gym, watching the table tennis finals gave me such an adrenaline rush I have never experienced before for this game I thought was boring. Maybe it was getting high while doing my regime or it could be there’s a Singapore flame finally burning strong in me?
The starting match for the table tennis team semi-finals between Singapore and South Korea was leaned towards a one-sided game as the Singapore player, Feng Tianwei, overpowered her opponent, Dang Ye Seo in the 1st set, I vaguely remember she won 11-5.
The second match, a singles, was much more intense and that’s when I started getting really “high”. Li Jiawei put up a great performance and Kim Kyung Ah was equally superb. Li Jiawei won the 1st set, but came close to winning the second set but numerous mistakes made it impossible. Then she won the 3rd set, lost again in the 4th set. It was a close 5th set initially between the two pros but the Korean opened the gap and finally won the match. It was sad watching Li Jiawei react a tad slow causing the ball to fly widely away from the table, letting South Korea win this match. Maybe its time for the next generation of table tennis players to take over Li Jiawei.
At the doubles game, the Singapore team, consisting of Li Jiawei and Wang Yu Gue defeated South Koreans, Park Mi Young and Kim Kyung Ah in the first 3 sets with just some effort. Though the 3rd set was a cliffhanger as the Koreans got off to an early 4-0 lead.
Now the next Singapore and South Korean singles is now on. Wang Yu Gue vs Dang Ye Seo.
1645HRS - Dang Ye Seo leads 7-0 in just minutes… Can’t believe that..
1647HRS - Wang Yu Gue grabbed one point, but Dang returned with 2…
1650HRS - HOLY COW!!! WANG came back with 6 points, 9-7!!! Woots!!!
1651HRS - 9-8, Korea leads by 1…. OMFG!!!
1652HRS - Uhoh… Game point for South Korea.
1653HRS - 1st set to South Korea
I can’t believe how glued I am to the tellie because of table tennis.
After a bath. Wang Yu Gue lost that table tennis match to the South Korean. Pity.
Now another table tennis singles. South Korean Park Mi Young vs Singaporean Feng Tianwei.
1734HRS - Singapore won one set, leading 3-0 in 2nd set. A shiny silver glimmering in the distance?
1753HRS - Feng leads by 2 sets, but in the 3rd set, she is not doing well, losing 10-3.
Over a nice dinner. Feng won the 4th set by just a narrow margin and the game was in sudden death. Bloody hell. Orgasmic just watching the 4th set. Lua hot.
Had chicken stew, mashed potato, brocolli, a small slice of ginger bread and mushroom soup for dinner.

Singapore proceeds into finals for the table tennis team. We know have at least a silver. And the matches today was one of the best performance I have seen in ages. Though I felt the sportsmanship is somewhat not great as it seemed the players were like ultimate enemies after each match, all angry and grouchy while shaking hands.
