First, I love Apple Macbook Pro, the latest one. The specs are great, especially the high performance graphics card, 8600GT. How often do you see such kind of power pack laptop. Even Sony or other brands have 6600GT graphics card on the highest or mid-high range laptops. Only applies to Singapore products…
I understand overseas brands such as Alienware produce high-end laptops with high-end specs that can rival high-end desktops. But those are often out of most reach especially with price tags of 5k and above. And these laptops are not feasible. 1, they are probably going to be heavy. 2, the battery life don’t last long, unless you intend to fix it on your table, permanently. 3, if you follow step 2, you must be filthy rich to waste your money when you can probably save alot by buying a desktop. 4, warranty issues since these products need to be imported. 5, our pockets aren’t that deep.
Don’t ask me why, but there’s this affinity for me to Apple products. They just work great and feel great. It makes you different from others. But now everyone has an iPod, which makes it a cult icon. But imagine, using Apple Mac OS on a Mac Laptop. People would probably go “gagago” and you may need to protect your laptop from drools, not coffee spills. I especially love Apple TV advertisments. They really critcise almost every side of Windows related products though a few are not really exact but these TV ads are true reasons to why one should abandon Windows and take on Apple.
Many may feel that using Mac at first may be a chore. But this is mainly due to our mind being used to using Windows. They are people saying that if you take a kid who never used a PC before, the kid will know how to use a Mac over a Windows platform. Though, no prove has surfaced that I know of, I strongly believe this is so.
Even their softwares are examples to their ease of usage, Lightroom, iMovie, iTunes, iPhone, iPod and the list goes on and on. Anything from Windows? Solitaire, Calculator, Notepad, Paint? It is normal for me to get fustrated over a Windows product and everyday we have a problem, 1, 2, 3 weeks later, we get a patch. After 10,20,30 patches, the computer slugs and its time for a reformat. And back to square 1. Sometimes, you patch, your computer crash. And there goes invaluable data down the drain.
I like my friend’s blog, dewei. He is a supporter of Apple products, though some might say he just doing it because he works in an Apple shop. This is his testimant. I also like the last part of his stuck in a lift video. Made on an apple.
I just gotta say, Apple products rock! (PS: I hate their iPod exchange service…)
Note: If anyone is organising a support Apple “riot”, please contact me? Tanks!
