Well, its the last day of September and its 30 days eaxctly to the first A Level paper I would be taking in my life. The first paper? Physics Paper 3. Last paper, Physics Paper 1, 20th November. Ironic eh? Have to hold Physics data in my head for almost a month. I prefer if they could set a subject that would finish within a week. Anyways after that, I am free till my enlistment date which I am still waiting to recieve.

Reflections? I have not done enough for prelims and A’s. I hope my prelims results have been a major wake up call as A’s are knocking on my door right now. Wishes? Well, since I can’t turn back time, might as well work to the best of my abilities and take the papers.

Still emo-ing over the GST hike, bloody ice milo costs $1.70 or so at Plaza Singapura food court… And the moronic thing I did during Physics Paper 3, doing 3 out of 3 questions in Section B when 2 was required. Also, the near death experience while doing my usual biking routine recently. I was really at the brink of death. The Grim Reaper almost took me away and probably along with a few other bystanders. Hate to brood over it but just clouds my mind. Why does something always kind of crappy happen always happen at this kind of time.

Status: Emo-ing
Wants: Hard work in my studies.

Jia you to all taking during Promos and working hard to their A’s. Our efforts will be rewarded!

This book is very good for your General Knowledge and those who are keen on improving the GP. It has 50 important facts that everyone should know to ensure a good coverage of issues and materials. This is useful in tackling a majority of GP Paper 1 questions. Though, a few of the facts are not really relevant or usually hard to employ in your essay.

Also, its small and compact, making it easy and light to carry around and read while travelling or idling. I feel that this book is more of a essential reading material and should be read at least once. Though the price tag of over $20 may put off some people and considering you are likely not to use it as a bed time story novel. If you feel burden by the tons of articles you are already trying to read, then its better of sticking to your notes.

Recommendations: Share the book with a friend or two or ask around or your GP tutors. (P.S, there are some books in circulation amongst the J2s, courtesy of the GP tutors. J1s probably gotta wait till the end of the A’s to get your hands on it.)

Price: SGD$20++
Availability: Kinokuniya or Borders, should be in stock.

Personally, I feel that Sony is damm smart in their advertisements. And they have not proven me wrong again with their advertisements at the City Hall Link in front of that music shop and restaurant.

First, it is a high density movement area. 2nd, it brings the products to the consumers and not the either way round. 3rd, they showcase everyone of their available product for side-by-side comparison.
Since Sony products are usually aesthetically very beautiful, they can easily attract customers and by bringing the products to such an area, I guess it can further increase the number of potential clients. Also, they not only let one see the product but also provide sufficient information. If one is interested to get a electronic product, it is highly probable that Sony would easily come first to their minds.
I can see this is pretty evident in the amount of crowd going googoo gaga over the array of products. Compared to Nokia’s N series advertisement that was at the same place before, Sony has definitely attracted more people.

Kudos to Sony again for their great advertisement strategies. Their recent Walkman cum Bluetooth ad is also damm interesting. Beats most advertisements on any day, other than Apple’s… Hehes.

Just got back my Prelims H2 Physics results… Having mixed feelings. Paper 1: 70% Paper 2: 32.5% Paper 3: 38.125%

What the heck, Paper 1 score like nobody’s business and paper 2 and 3 like crap. Totally down the drain. Improvement from Mid Year? Maybe only for Paper 1… Paper 2 deteriorated badly and Paper 3 was per normal. Shit crap.

Marking was rather strict but I had made many stupid errors that cost me almost 10 marks plus in paper 2. That’s on top of the fact I did not really practise physics this time for prelims and hate memorising those definitions. Losing out the marks in important key words… Arse.
Paper 3, well, to me, its really meant to flunk or pass with average results. Unless your Physics foundation and English is solid, its rather hard to score quite high in this paper. 55% and above is the usual mean… Seldom see someone scoring 70% over.
Paper 1, marked improvement from Mid Year, but still having some errors that could have given me more marks. More careful and precise this time! Learned from my moronic mistakes in Mid Year.
Also, i did 3 questions out of 3 questions in section B (is it in Paper 2 or 3? I forgot…) when they only need 2… Nice one, wasted at least 20-30minutes on the last question. I could have gotten more marks elsewhere for the time wasted.

Time to start revising my stuff and all the best for the other papers.

Woke up this morning after an 11 hour beauty sleep. Yes, 11 frigging hours. No joke, probably because the previous day was too drained from 2 papers and 2/3 hours of biking from East to Town and back, practically non-stop. Hahas. Initially, woke up a little grumpy and some flu. Few hours later, I was sneezing loudly all over the house. Got more grumpy after that… Hahas. Did some chemistry questions before having lunch. Next thing I know, I am dead asleep again, this time till 7pm. I guess around 4 hours of sleep… Bloody polar bear in hibernation. Flu got better! Yippie! Though still having that hint of grumpiness in me.

I went to pack some stuff in my room and found my Powerex rechargeable batteries! WHAAHHAHA, after 6 months, I found it =D It was buried deep inside my 60L Vaude haversack. Got me pretty happy then. Stupid thing evaded me for so long, searched high and low and couldn’t find it. Made me spent $5/6 bucks on Energizer batteries once when I was afraid my remaining set of Powerex batteries will die before I finished shooting. In the end, the Energizer batteries are still in their packaging… Still grumpy though. Hahahs.

Back to studying, Chemistry & Physics paper 1 to go, then prelims bye bye and hello A Levels… Looks like all work and no play for the next few weeks towards the first A Level Paper!

Cheerios!
