Somehow, I feel the film is deviating from the original game series based on the trailers. Because, I don’t remember Max Payne fighting off the underworld on such a large scale and intensity. The underworld wasn’t part off the core of the Max Payne game franchise… Hmms. Or is my memory failing me?

Why I think Mark Wahlberg can’t be Max Payne? Well, he’s missing the “Don’t Fracking Piss Me Off” aura. Not fierce enough for Max Payne. But I can’t think of any other actors who have attributes that are more suited to this role than Mark Wahlberg. He also has a rather “smaller-than-normal” than other actors such as Matt Damon or Vin Diesel.

Trailer was a bit messy but the song was great. Its by Marilyn Manson, song is “If I Was Your Vampire.”

My efforts of trying to search the plugin forums and FAQ’s were rendered nulled. Just because of one shitty punctuation, the apostrophe! ONE APOSTROPHE!!! KNNBCCB. Fracking hell.

Totally forgot about that puny little sign that caused my so much trouble in the past. Now it’s back to haunt me again, until just now when I finally remembered that pesky apostrophe.

For the non-photographers, at f/0.95, it means that ALOT of light can enter into the lens and the sensor, hence better pictures especially in dark areas. It also gives ALOT more of the “bokeh” or blurred effect around the point of focus. To help you analyze how magnificent this lens is technically, there are only like TWO(2) (that I know of) other f/0.95 lenses available in the world and both are out of production and only available in the used market. If you put this lens on a scale, it would be on one extreme end (10) while the nearest popular prime lenses is probably at the halfway mark (5) and those kit lenses are on the other end (0). (I won’t discuss about the other lenses which has bigger apertures like 0.7 or less because they are just too hard to get.)

Visually, the lens has not been publicly released for a full review but the photos of the lens has been released. Here are a few.

The lens just looks so sexy and clean and still remains smaller than I expected. I thought it would be like 5cm or more bigger than its stated diameter of 73mm and weighs at least 2kg (but its only 0.7kg). More specs of the lens here.

Below is a picture taken by its little brother, a Noctilux f/1.0. Its only lit by just a few small candles and viola. Uber!

But at such exorbitant prices, I rather buy a Nikon D3 (SGD$6500++) and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 (SGD$480) and I still have SGD$9000 to go on a nice vacation trip to enjoy my new kit. Just pump the ISO on the D3 to 25,600, put the 50mm at its biggest aperture and I can get a similar above picture with enough “bokeh” in it. Not enough blurriness? There’s always photoshop! (I refrain from using photoshop though.)

I gotta say, my gaming reflexes are getting faster especially in close quarter shooting but my sniping still sucks. You should see those Euro players play… Singapore and Taiwan players don’t stand a chance against them. Our teams will be “PWNED” pants down. It would be a turkey shoot-out. If you are wondering why Taiwan and Singapore only, because I have played on servers located in these two countries only. {I will upload a damm cool video  soon and you will know why.}

A darn good video, great video editing and great frag videos. I like the sniper jump shots and sniper “satay” shots… Gay shit. If I can play half as good as them… Ever see 1 person kill one team of 5? Seen anyone who can kill 4 people with one magazine clip? How about pistol kill 50metres away without sighting in? Other than the super fast foward and slow-mo, most of the video is at NORMAL speed. That’s how fast players on Call of Duty 4 plays, if you didn’t know (includes me =X).

Players in the Taiwan server, I feel are not that impressive as I can easily get a 7-10 kill streak and have a 2:1 kill-death ratio. They are not that good compared to our local counterparts. The players in Singapore are less predictable and more accurate in their shooting. Its evident in my statistics in a local server, my kill-death ratio seldom hit 2:1… Its usually 1:1 or less but sometimes, I still manage to grab the top 5 positions.

The scene in this screenshot happened just 2 seconds before the match ended when I was exiting a corridor when I bump into the enemy. 1 enemy right? Look closely. its two! Hahahs. I was waiting for the game to end when I panicked upon seeing them… I think they were equally shocked to see me too! Instantaneously, I randomly fired my rifle and shot both of them. But both had Last Stands!!! (For the non-players, Last Stand is a perk that allows a player to pull out a pistol to kill his opponent before he bleeds to death. You see them lying down like that in the picture, that’s the Last Stand at work.)  Luckily, the game ended and they could not fire their pistols at me. Otherwise, I think I would have been killed… This I believe is a pretty rare scene where two players together carry Last Stands and die together at the same spot.

Sadly, an absence of approximately 1 week of playing, I was nudged out of the top 100 ranking in one of the servers… So sad.

For those who play Mobwars, here’s a simple excel spreadsheet  that I created (need Office 07) for buying properties. More updated then the ones I have seen on the Mobwars forum. Made for tycoons. Other players, please ignore the “hours to pay itself” columm. You can fill in the Income/Upkeep boxes to get the data required. I tried doing a formula to calculate cost/time to buy 10 consecutive properties vs buying 10 properties at once. But its too hard and troublesome to create. Anyway, I read somewhere that buying 1s or 10s is better than buying 5s. So Mobwars’ players, take note.

My Mobwars statitiscs -curently Lvl 31, earning >7mil every 54 minutes, 16 Grenade Launchers, Bearcats and Body Armor, hitlisted and killed 21 times in total… ( I have made alot of enemies =X).
